Camille Jackson

Camille Jackson, a dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 9th surrounded by those she loved – and only two weeks shy of reaching her 100th birthday.
A lifelong resident of Stamford, Camille was born in Stamford on January 24, 1922, and was one of three children born to the late Salvatore and Dorothy (Florentine) Summa. She was 99 years old at the time of her passing.
Camille worked at Noelle Day Spa for 60 years until her retirement at age 94. There was nothing Camille loved more than spending time with her family. She loved hosting Sunday brunch for family and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo with the “Golden Girls” and cards with her family. She loved to laugh and loved to dance. She will be missed by many.
Camille is survived by her daughter, Doreen Davis of Stamford; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Ann Jackson of Stamford; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Vito Summa; sister, Marion (Summa) Jackson; grandson, James Joel Jackson; and son-in-law, Edward Davis Sr.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT 06902 on Friday, January 14th from 10 am to 12 pm, with a prayer service taking place at the parlor at 12 NOON. The interment will follow the service at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
