Frank M. Scarvey, 78, of Stamford, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on February 16, 2023. He was born September 29, 1944, to the late Pauline (Salvatore) and Dominick “West” Scarvey.
Frank was a native of Stamford and grew up on Connecticut Avenue where he forged many lifelong friendships. He was gifted with a quick wit and a personality that was larger than life and was always the life of the party. Frank was never without his trademark toothpick in his mouth. He cherished his family, enjoyed his Sunday macaroni dinners and treasured his Harleys and Cadillacs.
Frank was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local Union #191 and drove a concrete mixer for Telesco, Genovese and O&G Industries for many years before his retirement.
Frank will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carole; stepsons James “JR” and John Meceli; his siblings, Jane (Charles) Dicine and Roy Scarvey; nephews David (Katie), Daniel (Shannon), and Sean (Sherry) Scarvey; Todd (June) and Scott (Heidi) Dicine; and his niece, Kelly (Vince) Puletti along with many great-nieces, nephews and extended family. He also leaves behind his dear friends, Charlie and Cathy Turcio. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Bonnie Scarvey.
The family would like to thank Frank’s caregivers with a special thank you to Simone Allum.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford.
Frank left us too soon but while we had him, it was wonderful!
