Remembering Maheswari Subburaman
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Maheswari Subburaman, beloved wife of Raparti H. Kumar, on December 6th, 2024. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a brave and determined battle with cancer. True to her nature, Maheswari faced every challenge with grace, strength, and unwavering kindness, spending her final days speaking with her friends, thanking everyone for their support, and showering love on her family.
Maheswari was born on September 2nd, 1969, in Cuttack, Orissa, India, and lived a life marked
by her intellect, generosity, and indomitable spirit. A University T opper in Bachelor’s of Physics (Honors) and Master’s in Computer Applications, she applied her knowledge to build applications that improved the lives of others. As the Director of Software Engineering at Gartner, she was admired for her technical innovation, leadership and motivation. Her passion for learning was boundless, as was her commitment to excellence. During her university days, she excelled in academics and extracurricular activities, winning the Vice-Chancellor’s Cup in debate, the Math Olympiad, and numerous sports competitions, while also thriving as an NCC cadet. Her love for singing and Odissi dance brought joy to her and those around her.
Maheswari’s life philosophy was simple yet profound: “Nothing is impossible because the word itself says I’m
possible.” She lived by this mantra, approaching every task with an open mind and relentless dedication. Whether in her career or at home, she gave her all, ensuring success in all she pursued.
A devoted wife and extraordinary mother, she was the foundation of her family, instilling in her children the values of integrity, empathy, and perseverance. She was a caring daughter who ensured her parents’ comfort and a beloved sister and mentor to her siblings, always guiding them with wisdom and affection. Her father lovingly described her as the “golden child”, for she was a pillar of strength and a beacon of love and generosity.
Maheswari held dear the belief that “When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost;
but when character is lost, everything is lost.” She lived a life of selflessness, constantly seeking to uplift others,
leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Maheswari is survived by her loving husband, Raparti H. Kumar, and her cherished children, Aleevelu and Govind. She also leaves behind her father, AR Subburaman; mother-in-law, Balamani Raparti; siblings, Ganesh, Vairavan, Kalpana Subbukumar, and Wasuki Senthil Kumar; brothers-in-law, Subbukumar, Virupa Raparthi, Senthil Kumar Natarajan, Rama, and Babu; sisters-in-law, Lalitha Raparti, Nalayini Ganesh, Sridevi Raparti, Radhika Nagampalli, Vimala Vairavan and Ahaliya; and nieces and nephews, Prabhu, Sonika, Arun, Anu, Raja, Amrita, Santosh, Tamanna, Tazanna, Ishana, Roshni, Indu, Anushka, Rhea, and Mahashri, along with countless friends and colleagues.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mahalakshmi Subburaman, and father-in-law, Atmaramam Raparthi.
A service to honor Maheswari’s incredible life will be held on 9th December, 2024 from 11:00am – 1:30pm at the Nicholas F . Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory.
Maheswari will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for her kindness, resilience, and boundless love.
