Peter Paspalis

Peter M. Paspalis, 86, of Stamford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 27, 2021. He was born in Stamford on October 9, 1934, to the late Michael A. and Jennie Pantelas Paspalis.
Peter Michael Paspalis was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin. He is survived by his loving wife Joan, daughters Katherine Paspalis and Pamela Paterson, son-in-law Tim, and grandchildren Matthew, Megan, Olivia, and Lucy, as well as his sister Despina Giffes and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was raised in Stamford, CT with his five older siblings, four of whom predeceased him. He was a veteran of the US Army. As a life-long resident of Stamford, Pete was a local business owner and active community member – as a founder of the Glenbrook Community Center, past President of AHEPA and member of the Church of the Archangels. He was a partner in the Casolo, Friedman, Paspalis Insurance Company for decades, making friends of his customers along the way, and, after he retired, he enjoyed the State Street Debating Society, and wintering in Naples, Florida, among other activities. A consummate people-person, Pete was both an easy conversationalist and a thoughtful listener. Peter left us on September 27th, and no words can express how deeply he is missed by his family and friends. May his memory be eternal.
