Renato Basile, Sr.

Renato “Ronnie” Basile, Sr of Stamford, CT passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Renato was born in Casole Bruzio, Cosenza, Italy on June 7, 1942. Renato and his family moved to Stamford, CT in August 1965. He is predeceased by his father, Francesco and mother Amalia, as well as his brothers Antonio and Vincenzo, and sister Rosaria Fucile.
Renato was a hardworking man, he worked at Grade A Market for 45 years. He enjoyed playing soccer and was a devoted Juventus fan. The most important thing to him was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Renato is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anna Collia Basile, his children: Fabiano and his wife Pina of Stamford, CT, Christiano and his wife Isabella of Trumbull, CT, Ronnie Jr. and his wife Daina of Stamford, CT and Melissa Basile-Reolon and her husband Alexandre of Stamford, CT, as well as his loving grandchildren that he cherished more than life. Renato is also survived by his brother Francesco from Daytona Beach, FL, his sister Paula Nardi and her husband Nick of Madison, CT, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Stamford, CT on Friday, December 31 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Stamford Firefighters Burn Foundation.
