Diane was born in Stamford on March 8, 1947 to the late Salvatore and Josephine (Iorio) Sabia. She was 75 years old at the time of her passing.
Diane graduated from Stamford High School in 1965 and went on to obtain a degree in interior design from Traphagen School in NYC. She then married the love of her life and had two beautiful children and three grandchildren who she absolutely adored. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and traveling together on many wonderful vacations. They took trips to Italy, Paris and the very memorable trip driving down the coast of California with her husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. She also spent many family vacations with her entire family that she cherished very much. Diane loved entertaining friends and family and cooking and baking for everyone who came over. She was an incredible cook. She hosted Christmas Eve for 50 years making it a very special event and a family tradition everyone looked forward to. She had so much fun with her grandchildren, creating little tea parties for them and dancing and singing with them around the house. She dressed them up in fancy clothes and took them to Broadway shows, weekends in NYC and showered them with love and attention. She had an eye for design, and it showed in her beautiful home full of antiques that she collected with her husband throughout their travels. Diane was the best mother anyone could have asked for. She was always there for her children in every way possible and they loved her so much. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and everyone she met adored her. She was kind and generous to all she knew, and she always tried to help those around her in any way that she could. She will be deeply missed.
