Norma Stella

Norma M. Stella, 70, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Stamford on August 2, 1951 to the late John and Angela (Interlandi) Pirre.
Norma was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoying spending time with her family. She had a passion for dance and teaching. She owned the Norma Pirre Dance Studio for 17 years before joining the Stamford Public Schools system as an elementary education teacher for 30 years. During her public school teaching tenure, she revisited her dance background by choreographing a few plays for Curtain Call’s Kweskin Theatre in Stamford.
Norma is survived by her loving sons, Greg Stella and Tim Stella and his wife Daniela, all of Stamford. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Siena Mae and Roman Vincent Stella.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
