Carl Caputo

Carl Caputo, 71, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Edgehill Skilled Nursing Center, He was born in Stamford on January 8, 1953 to the late Joseph and Millie DePalma Caputo.
Carl was retired from the U.S Postal Service where he was employed as a mail carrier for nearly 40 years. He loved to walk at Cove Beach, where he made many friends. He was a kind, generous man who was good to everyone he met and those who knew him thought the world of him and was extremely dedicated to his mother who had suffered with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Carl is survived by his sister, Joann Caputo of Stamford. “He watched over me,” Joann said. “He was such a good brother.”
Besides his sister, Carl is also survived by several aunts, uncles and several cousins.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM with a prayer service to be celebrated at 4:30 PM. Interment will be on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien.
