Judith Amatucci

Judith G. Ventre Amatucci, 76, a former resident of Stamford, passed away on March 26, 2024, in Woodbridge, VA. She was born the oldest of three children to the late Gerald and Violet Watson Ventre in Stamford, CT on April 25th, 1947.
While attending Lady Cliff College in Highland Falls, NY, she crossed paths with her future husband, H. Tony Burgess, who was a student at West Point Military Academy. Their journey together began after graduation, leading Judy into the role of an officer’s wife. She discovered her passion for hosting dinner parties, showcasing her talent for flower arrangements and cake decorating. In Germany, she welcomed her first child Kimberly, followed by Christopher in New Zealand six years later. Judy’s adventures around the world were filled with laughter, making new friends who became family with her charm, hilarious sense of humor, amazing wit, and very generous nature.
After returning to the United States, she continued to host her renowned dinner parties while simultaneously pursuing a career as a Lead Mortgage Processor. During this time, she also had the opportunity to meet her second husband, Raymond Amatucci. As her children grew up and left the nest, she made the decision to relocate to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and construct a beautiful home on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. This accomplishment held a special place in her heart, as it was a testament to her independence and served as a gathering place for her entire family. Judy often expressed her pride in this achievement, as it truly reflected her unique approach to life. The Bay became her sanctuary, where she thrived in the company of loved ones, indulging in her passion for cooking and enjoying leisurely moments by the pool with a refreshing drink in hand. Her friends and family will always remember her for the immense love and warmth she shared with them. Judy’s affection for each and every one of them was evident to anyone fortunate enough to know her.
