Linda Barone

Linda Camille Barone, a beloved sister, aunt, relative and friend, and a life-long resident of Greenwich and Stamford, passed away peacefully from a sudden and unexpected illness at Greenwich Hospital on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Her loving family was at her side and she was 69 years old at the time of her passing.

Linda was born on December 13, 1953 in Greenwich, CT to the late Albert Barone, Sr. and Anna Marie (Polestra) Barone. Linda was the first of Albert and Anna’s three children. She graduated from Greenwich High School in 1972 and from The Intensive Secretarial Program at The Berkeley School in White Plains, NY in 1973. During her professional career, Linda held numerous Executive Secretary/Assistant and Legal Secretary positions at several companies in the Fairfield and Westchester County areas. Most recently, Linda served as the Executive Assistant to the CEO for LCI Aviation in Wilton, CT until her retirement a few years ago.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed shopping, hosting, traveling, cooking for others, and spending time at the beach. She especially enjoyed drinking Prosecco with her friends. Linda loved to bake and would rarely show up anywhere empty handed. Linda was a kind and generous soul who treated everyone she met like family.

Linda is survived by her brother Albert Barone, Jr., her sister-in-law Diane Barone and her niece Alyssa Barone all of Ellicott City, MD, her nephew Alexander Barone of Fort Mill, SC, and her beloved “niece dog”, Lizzy. She also leaves behind many first, second and third-generational cousins and close friends. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her sister, Karen Jean Barone, of Greenwich.

A mass of Christian burial for Linda will take place at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Tuesday, June 27 at 10:30AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Linda’s family respectfully requests that donations in her memory be made either to PAWS (Pet Animal Welfare Society) in Norwalk, CT or to an animal rescue of your choice as Linda absolutely loved animals.
