Phyllis DelVecchio

Phyllis Edna DelVecchio (Fleischmann), a native of Stamford, CT, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend passed away at Norwalk Hospital on Saturday, November 26, 2022. She was born in Stamford on April 28, 1942, and was the only child born to the late Peter and Phyllis Cahill Fleischmann. Phyllis was 80 years old at the time of her passing.
Phyllis’s career spanned over 40 years as a property manager in the real estate industry for Metro Center, First Stamford Place and Pyramid Real Estate Group. She loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it was time spent with her grandchildren in her backyard pool, or on her daughter and son-in-law’s boat, or summer vacations in Bethany Beach, Delaware, and traveling with her husband Ralph on numerous cruises. She lived her life to the fullest and brough joy to those around her.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Ralph DelVecchio; her son, Vincent Silvester, Jr.; her daughters, Janice Bamford and Patricia Gisolfi and husband Robert; her step-sons, Joseph DelVecchio and his wife Debra and Ralph DelVecchio, Jr.; and her 10 beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, and Rachel Gisolfi, Leah, Olivia, and Ava Bamford, Jason, Tera, Victor and Vanna DelVecchio. In addition to her parents was predeceased by her first husband, Vincent Silvester.
Friends and family may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Thursday, December 1st from 4PM to 8PM. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, December 2nd, at 10:30AM at The Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905. The interment will immediately follow mass at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
